Buenos Aires Restaurant was originally opened in 2007 at Clarks Beach, and following very succesful response from locals and many people coming from all around Auckland, we decided to move onwards and upwards and relocate our restaurant to the heart of Auckland. We finally opened the new Buenos Aires Restaurant at 234 Jervois Rd, Herne Bay in August 2010, featuring the NZ-first open woodfire grill (worldwide known Argentinean-style "Parrilla", as we call it - the secret to the flavour and tenderness of our meals).
While this is a traditional grill in most restaurants in Argentina, this concept took New Zealand by surprise, as during our opening night two Fire Brigade Trucks came over to try to put out the fire! (Of course we invited the firefighters for dinner and had a big laugh about it).
The concept of having the Parrilla upfront of the restaurant is to set up a relaxed atmosphere to share with family and friends, and of course, savouring a delicious steak cooked to true "gaucho" style and flavour while enjoying fine and luscious Argentinean or New Zealand red wine.
We would like to invite you to visit us to relax and enjoy a unique dining experience within a Buenos Aires environment, without having to travel that far!
