The most important question that a business needs to ask itself is what am I doing? Where do I want to go? What is my main vision? This is defined under your business strategy. A clear strategy determines what your business looks like in a real world scenario.
How you get there is defined by the technology you utilise. Any use of technology should always be driven by a real business need (or strategy). Technology is not limited to just “computers”, but used to describe anything a business relies on to achieve an outcome or goal. Some examples of technology are described further on.
To include our people (customers, staff, community) in all parts of our business is how we can arrive at a strategy and improve our technology. Our customers drive who we are, but we in turn also help our customers achieve goals for either their business or personal lives. Businesses also have a responsibility to their communities and this should be thought about when executing a strategy in an organisation.
