Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand and/or Midwifery Council of New Zealand a prerequisite of working in New Zealand. From July 2010 Australia will also have a centralised register.

Specialists need to apply for Vocational Registration.
Drs who qualified and worked in the Australia, UK, Ireland and New Zealand have minimum requirements to meet.
Others need, generally speaking, NZREX for New Zealand, and AMC for Australia.
Exceptions: Hold full registration and have worked for 36 months continuously (for at least 30 hours per week) during the 48 months prior to application in one of the following:
