Our client is seeking a GP to join them in a permanent role at their purpose-built rural health facility, providing a wide-range of health and disability services to the residents of the Horowhenua region. This fantastic modern Health Centre provides on-site services including general practice and laboratory, maternity and pharmacy services, and many other allied health services and clinics. It’s a lively and well resourced place to work, with a great team of GPs and excellent support staff.
Located in well situated and resourced large town in the Horowhenua district, a commutable 45 minutes driving distance of Palmerston North, and just over an hour from Wellington city. Located near the coast with lovely safe beaches for families (a weekend beach-bach getaway for many city folk) and with the stunning Tararua ranges to the East for hiking and other outdoor activities. The town has great shopping and cafes, affordable accommodation and good schooling, and offers the possibility of a semi-rural lifestyle without compromising on the comforts of big town life.
