Our client is a major Teaching Hospital expanding its Cardiology services to include a comprehensive cardiac electrophysiology service.
We are seeking two Electrophysiology specialists to work with a team of seven Cardiologists to provide a tertiary service to a population of 1.1 million. These are exciting roles that will be instrumental in shaping the development of the new service.
This leading Hospital provides specialist tertiary level care and have recently moved into a new state of the art regional facility. This new hospital facility includes a dedicated Electrophysiology procedure suite and two cardiac catheter laboratories, a day procedure ward and a 36 bed combined cardiac speciality ward incorporating a CCU and Cardiothoracic high dependency unit. The service provides the full range of non invasive and invasive cardiac investigations including coronary angioplasty and IVUS, simple and complex cardiac pacing including CRT and ICD implantation and transoesophagael echocardiography. Percutaneous valve implants will commence shortly.
The cardiology community service includes a full range of outpatient services and a rehabilitation and heart failure service which are also expanding in the next six months.
This Hospital is located in a City situated on a magnificent harbour and framed by hills with a population of 350,000 and is the cultural hub of the country. An abundance of excellent cafes and restaurants are within easy walking distance as are galleries, museums and theatres. The city is encircled by a “Greenbelt”, which ensures plenty of green spaces and tracks for rambling on your days off.
